As a home care provider, our community staff are generally mobile, travelling from client to client to deliver care and support. The roles are varied and rewarding, working in the community providing care and support for people wishing to remain as independent as possible in their own home, in consideration of varying levels of support.

Duties will typically include the following:

  • Personal care
  • Assisting with medication
  • Help rising and preparing for bed
  • Supported activities
  • Safe and well checks
  • Practical support
  • Meal preparation
  • Light domestic duties
  • Shopping and other errands

ONGOING TRAINING AND SUPPORT

Induction, ongoing training and support

There will be initial mandatory training including Induction, Moving and Handling and Medication, applicable to all staff joining the team, regardless of experience

During the initial period with us you will “shadow” senior staff and experienced members of the team, to enhance your competences and increase confidence.

Ongoing modular training will be available throughout employment to support your personal development
All staff are encouraged to undertake vocational training at level 2 or 3

Distance learning is available to everyone.

Training is at the core of everything we do, we are committed to develop all our community care staff to reach their full potential
